“Monferrato nel Cuore – Monferrato in the heart” is … my home. A place to welcome you, a space to share with you. A big house with a lot of cozy little corners, that we have designed in order to make you feel always at home. An ideal destination for a relaxing weekend, to be spent between a glass of wine, an afternoon in the sauna and a refreshing bath in the swimming pool. But there’s more to explore; from the orchard to the park and the enchanted forest, where you can look for wooden masks, wandering along its innumerous paths.

And obviously the perfect place to start exploring the Monferrato area.

A beautiful region, whose soul is reflected in its colors, its flavors, its history, its wine. In a few words: in its magic.

So, that’s my house. Come to visit me if you like: you’ll certainly never get bored! No matter which kind of holiday you are looking for: in my house you’ll be able to find it! From massages to adventurous excursions, from total relax in the sauna or in the swimming pool to cultural tours, and finally to the many exciting wine and food tours of Monferrato.

From here you can easily reach the Abbey of Vezzolano, the ancient roman city of Industria, the historic fortress of Verrua Savoia and the many other villages dotted around our hills, each one with its own history and culture, its corners to explore and its wine to taste: Barbera, Nebbiolo and Barbaresco, to name but a few.

And obviously Turin, a magic city whose buildings, squares and museums reflects its past, present and future. From the Mole Antonelliana, the town’s landmark that hosts the Cinema Museum, to the Basilica of Superga, the Palazzo Reale and the Reggia di Venaria, as well as the royal hunting residence of Stupinigi. And last but not least, Turin’s famous 19th century’s porticoed squares. Torino is an amazing city to enjoy, for all the tourists who come this way and haven’t explored it yet.

If you are looking for a more relaxing holiday and you wish to forget the car for a few days, you’ll be able to walk from my place to the Oasi degli Animali, where hundreds of animals live in large fenced areas designed to imitate their natural habitat: a fascinating place for the young and the old. Or you can walk to the historic center of Casalborgone, to enjoy its innumerous stunning views and corners. There you can treat yourself to something sweet in the famous pastry shop that won the world championship for chocolate cakes.

Or we can share fantastic adventure trips on my small Jeep and discover the secrets of the woods on horseback. We can bird-watch from my tree platform or explore the river Po on a canoe.

Guests are welcome to use all the common spaces: the dining room, the swimming pool, the sauna, the laundry with a self-service washing machine, the gazebo, the terraces, the park, the fruit orchard and the forest.

My house is located in Casalborgone, in Via Foei 8, just a few kilometers from Turin and immersed in the green hills of Monferrato.

Find us.

By car. If you arrive from Turin or Milan, take the A4 Torino-Milano highway. The recommended exit is Chivasso Est (= east): after the exit follow the road signs to Asti and turn into the SP91, direction Verolengo-San Sebastiano. At Abate’s roundabout take the third exit, direction San Sebastiano, along the SP590. At the first traffic light turn right and take the SP458, direction San Sebastiano-San Martino-Casalborgone. Continue along this road up to Casalborgone, but before entering the village follow the signs to Oasi degli Animali, which is very close to my house. If you are coming from Asti, Alba, Genoa or Alessandria we recommend you take the A21 Torino-Piacenza-Brescia highway, and the exit Asti Ovest (= west). From there continue in the direction of Chivasso, along a lovely panoramic road that leads you directly to Casalborgone. Drive past the village continuing along the same road, and follow the signs to Oasi degli Animali up to my house.

By public transport. The connection between Turin and Casalborgone is run by GTT through the bus line TORINO – GASSINO – CHIVASSO – PIOVA’ MASSAIA – MONTIGLIO. Find more information here (timetables, costs and bus stops).

By plane. The closest airport is Turin international airport “Caselle Sandro Pertini”. From there you can reach Casalborgone by public transport or taxi.
